Mike Paro is a Chicago-based carpenter, fabricator, and fine artist whose work bridges structural craftsmanship and artistic fabrication. With over a decade of experience building sets for film and television, he has developed a highly adaptable skillset spanning structural carpentry, custom millwork, scenic finishing, and specialty materials.
A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Mike approaches building as both a technical and creative discipline. His work is defined by strong material intuition, thoughtful problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex ideas into durable, well-crafted results. He has worked across residential, commercial, and institutional projects, often collaborating with designers, architects, and specialized trades.
Based in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, Mike works independently through Paro Projects, taking on select projects that require care, ingenuity, and a high level of craftsmanship.
